by Kenny and Dennis First you take a rectangular piece of paper and hold it vertically. There are two red rectangles from the right side of the paper to the left side of the paper lengthwise. There is only a very narrow space between the two rectangles. There is the same amount of space from the sides and the top and under the middle rectangle. There is a very narrow space before a new smaller white rectangle begins. It is located under the middle rectangle. It also goes from right to left lengthwise. The top rectangle is a light red mixed with a little dark red. The middle rectangle is red mixed with brown and the bottom rectangle is white mixed with tan. The background is a dark brown. The background surrounds the three rectangles. It is in the space between the rectangles and also around then. |
by Dennis and Kenny Our painting is called "Untitled, 1960" by Mark Rothko. It was painted with oil on canvas. The size of the painting is 60 by 50 inches. It is at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. You did everything right, especially the width of the rectangles and the background color. We should have said the length of the rectangles should have taken up almost all the space on the paper. Over all, Walter Hays did an excellent job. |
