Mystery Painting Description
by Reid and Devin

Our painting is three rectangles stacked on top of each other. The first one at the top of the page is skinny. There is a thin line at the very top of the page that is Indian red . At the bottom of the page there is a green rectangle that covers up 5/12 of the page. At the bottom of the rectangle that is at the top there is a thick black line. In the middle of the page there is a rectangle that is pale blue-green. At the side there is a thick ultra-marine blue line. At the top of the middle rectangle on the right side there is a thick diagonal white line going about a third of the rectangle.

Analysis
by Reid and Devin

The name of our painting is "Ocean Park (Number 30)." It was painted by Richard Diebenkorn in 1970. The size is 100 by 82 inches. It is painted on oil on canvas. It is displayed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

The bottom half of the painting was excellent. The black line was good. Most of the colors were right.

We forgot to say the color of the top rectangle. It looks like you did a good job making the Indian red, but we forgot to say it was the color of the top rectangle, and that the line was yellow-white. It looks like you accidentally forgot to put the diagonal line one-third of the rectangle. We forgot to say which way the diagonal line went. You did a really good job.
