Mystery Painting Description
by Brent and Alexandra

Section 1: This painting is shaped in a square turned around to make a diamond.

Section 2: There is a thick black line on the left side of a purple triangle that's in the right corner.

Section 3: There is a yellow triangle in the middle of the bottom and the right corner. There are two black lines that are skinnier than before and they are perpendicular to each other. They cross to outline the triangle.

Section 4: Paint the rest of the diamond a greyish color.

Section 5: The painting should have a geometry look to it.

Analysis
by Alexandra and Brent

This painting was made by Piet Mondrian. The title is "Lozenge Composition with Three Lines and Blue, Gray, and Yellow." It was made with oil and canvas in 1925. It is 44 inches by 44 inches. It is in the Kunsthaus, Zürich.

According to our description you made everything right, including the colors and where you put them.

We could have told you to make it out of paint and paper instead of using crayons or pencils. We said the thick black line was on the left instead of the right and we should have said the purple triangle was on the left not the right. We measured your square and we didn't get the same amount of inches on the four sides.

You made the painting exactly like we told you only we messed up.
