by Brecon and Michelle Our painting is a horizontal rectangle. About halfway there is a shape starting at the right side that goes a little above the bottom left corner. It is painted a light creamy color. It is a triangle with its left side starting at the top third of the paper with its left tip cut off. A dark green line is slanting on the right side. It goes up at about 45 degrees, then it goes flat, then straight down about halfway through the painting. Then it has a little hump and goes barely up and then barely back down. Touching the left side of the paper there is a mix of yellow and a lot of white. Then there is a blue shape with black- green shapes that look like little seals. The blue goes from the left side to the middle of the paper. Blue fills the rest of the page, which is the top quarter of the paper. |
by Brecon and Michelle The title of this painting is "Dunes and Sea II," by Milton Avrey. It was painted in 1960. It is found at the Whitney Museum of American Art. The dimensions are 51 by 72 inches. It is oil and canvas. Our partners did a very good job on the colors. They put the light creamy shape in the wrong place. The green line was supposed to be dark, and its shape was different. We should've said it was a dark blue shape with the seal shapes in it. It's very hard to do the paintings because the descriptions aren't perfect. They did a good job on all the colors except on the green. From your Barron Park friends. |
