Turtle

Description
by Julian

I’m going to describe a cute turtle. For the body put a hexagon for the middle. Put a trapezoid on top of the body with the longest part facing down. Then put a triangle pointing up on top of the trapezoid. The trapezoid and triangle are the head.

Now you are going to make the arms. Put a blue rhombus on the right side of the hexagon facing out. Then put a triangle on the far edge of the rhombus. Do the same thing on the left side of the hexagon for the left arm.

Next you will be making the legs. Put one rhombus on the bottom left side of the hexagon, facing up. Then put a triangle upright on the bottom left side of the rhombus. Do the same thing on the right side of the hexagon for the right leg. I hope you had fun recreating my turtle.

I think my directions worked well because I described every step. I knew the drawing was from my directions because Brigid and Grace got the shape. The arms and the legs are exactly the right shape. The size is the same. They are very good at following directions!

I looked for things that could be improved. It seems like Brigid and Grace had a clear  picture of  the patternoid. They got everything right, even the blue rhombus for the arms. Sometimes directions don’t explain which part you’re doing. But my directions already told what you’re doing. For example, “Now you’re going to do the arms.” This helps you know what goes where.
