Description
by Erica and Rachel

We are now going to describe a nice Patternoid named Bob. He is a symmetrical butterfly. Each of his wings looks like a slanted diamond with an upside-down trapezoid on top of it. At the very top and bottom corners of the wings are small dark purple triangles. Above each bottom triangle is a teal star. On top of the teal star is a horizontal pink diamond.

Parallel to the top part of the wing is a light purple diamond with coral colored dots on each corner. We hope you had fun making our Patternoid.

You did very well on the drawing. We know the directions were kind of confusing. You got the symmetrical part right, and most of the shapes are correct, but a few of them are in the wrong places.

We are sorry we weren’t very clear on our description about how many pieces you needed to make Bob, or explaining what the pieces were. We also weren’t clear about how to arrange the pattern blocks and where to put the decorations. Thank you for reading this.

Sincerely,
Rachel and Erica
