Description
by Ria and Karen We are going to teach you how to build a Dancing Puppy. First, you take a hexagon for the head. Second, you take two rhombi and put them on each side pointing horizontally. For the body, you need one square. You put the square on the bottom
of the hexagon. Use two triangles, put them on each side of the square pointing
outwards. Then
you put two parallelograms on top of each triangle. To make the face you will draw two eyes that are oval with curved eyebrows. The nose is like a cat’s nose. Its eyes are green. On top of her head she has a bow colored red. Leave the face white. Her ears (which are the rhombi) are colored with peach and brown colors. Warning—Don’t just color them in! Uou have to make little lines on each ear and leg. The arms are also colored with peach and brown little lines. On the skirt, which is the trapezoid, you make a pattern of purple and gray stripes going vertically. The shoes have a pattern of green and gray horizontal stripes. The pattern of the shirt is blue with gray stripes going diagonally. We hope you enjoyed making our polygonoid. |
Analysis Overall, Nicky and Billy did a great job reconstructing our polygonoid. They did a great job on the clothing, but we forgot to tell them that the bow should be bigger and rounder and that the arms and legs are supposed to be made with tan rhombi. The ears are supposed to be made with blue rhombi instead of the tan ones, and the round part of the nose should be made bigger and colored pink. They did very well on the clothes. We wanted to make it easier for them so we decided that the skirt should have four gray and four purple stripes. But we forgot to tell Nicky and Billy the number of stripes on the clothing. The shirt should have had six gray stripes and six blue stripes, and the shoes should have had three green stripes and two gray stripes. The eyes were not supposed to be too pointy. Also they were not supposed to be fully colored. The eyebrows should cover all of the eyes and not just the middle. We should have told them that. Their version also needs eyelashes. Nicky and Billy did well on the skin but they forgot to color the legs. We hope Nicky and Billy had a good time making our polygonoid. |
