Portrait of Me

Description of My Portrait

by Robert

Portrait of Me

recreated by Lisa

The style I painted is the style of Georges Rouault. His paintings were always profiles. The paper is 11" by 17" positioned vertically. The colors of paint we used were yellow, black, magenta, light blue, dark blue, green, and purple.

The head is eight inches long and six inches wide. The head is in the middle of the paper. The neck is two inches long and two inches wide. The crown is on the head and is three and a half inches tall and six inches wide. It has four pointed edges and is yellow and green mixed together. The colors of the face and sun are red and yellow mixed together. The horizon is two and one half inches above the bottom of the paper. The color of the sea is blue green. On top of it is half of a sun with black rays, but most of the sun is being covered by the head. The rest of the painting is covered with blue, green, and yellow paint.

This paragraph is about the head. The eye is an inch and half long, and the eyebrow is two inches long. Both are black. The ear is an inch back from the eye, and is two inches long and 1 and 1/4 inches wide.

Analysis

by Robert

What went well was she put in the sun and the sea, and both were colored right. The crown had four points and was colored like mine; also it was the same size. The background is perfect because it is the right color.

I didn't describe the profile that well, but it means the face is looking sideways. I should have described how big the sun was and how many rays there were in the picture. I forgot to mention the black shirt I put in my picture.
