Description of My Portrait

by Patrick

Portrait of Me

recreated by Patrick

My portrait is in the style of Vincent van Gogh. You will use pastels: black, green, turquoise, brown, blue, red, and white. The paper is 11 x 17 inches. From the head to the top of the page is 3 inches.

My head is oval and is 10 and 1/2 inches long and 6 inches wide. My eyebrows are black. The eyes are outlined in blue, but the irises are a little bit brown. The face is brown and black. My ears are brown and are right below my hair. My lips are white and red. My nose is outlined in black and is 2 and 1/2" long. My hair is black, the hair is about 3 inches long.

The background is turquoise and green curved lines. My shirt is brown and black lines.

Analysis

by Patrick

Patrick drew the head pretty well and the nose, eyes, and hair. The background colors were good, too.

He did not get the background design right, and the mouth was wrong. He forgot the shirt. I should have told him about the design better, too. I think he did a good job and his picture was almost like mine, so it looked OK.
