Portrait of Me

Description of My Portrait

by Emily

Portrait of Me

recreated by Charles

My portrait is in the style of Vincent van Gogh. I used pastels to color my portrait. Turn your paper (that is 12" by 18") vertically.

My head is in the center of the paper, about two and a half inches down from the top. My head is nine inches long and six and a half inches wide. My bangs are about three inches long. Right under my bangs are my eyebrows that are a light black. Half of an inch under my eyebrows are my eyes. They are one inch apart. My eyes are mainly brown with some orange, green, and blue flecks. My nose is a darker peach that is in between my eyes. It goes from the top of my eyes to one inch below. Under my nose, four inches below my bangs, is my mouth. My lips are a fuchsia color. Over my nose and cheeks are some freckles sprinkled about. My skin is colored peach. My hair is brown with a little bit of yellow and orange in it. It comes down to one inch above my shoulders. My neck is two inches long. My shirt is centered on the page and is four and a half inches high and eleven inches wide. The top third of my shirt is blue, the middle third of my shirt is green, and the bottom third is red.

The background is vertical stripes of light green, dark green, and regular green.

GOOD LUCK!

Analysis

by Emily

My partner, Charles, drew me very well. He did my shirt correct. He also colored my lips the same color that they are supposed to be, which was great! He did an excellent job on the background. Charles drew my hair very well, considering I forgot to tell him that my hair curled under. I wrote to add yellow and orange in my hair and he did.

I did not mention that I colored lightly with the pastels, so Charles did not know whether or not to color lightly or dark. He ended up coloring darkly but that was okay. All in all Charles did a great job.

GOOD JOB CHARLES!!!
