Portrait of Me

Description of My Portrait

by Brian

Portrait of Me

recreated by Perris

The style of my portrait is Vincent van Gogh. The materials you need to make this are one 12 x 18 inch paper, and pastels the color of green, black, red, peach, and brown.

From the top of the paper to my head is 4 and 1/2 inches and the paper goes vertically. The bottom of my head is 7 and 1/2 inches from the top of my head. Go 3 and 3/4 inches down from the top of my head and make a light line segment horizontally. The line segment should be 3 and 1/4 inches from each side of the paper. Make an oval using the top of the head, the bottom, and the sides of the line segment. Make two eyes that are 1 inch apart on the line segment. Make a lip that is 1/2 inch by 1 and 1/2 inches. It should be 1 and 1/2 inches from the bottom of the face. Make a triangle with curved corners that is 3 inches from the bottom of my face and this will be the nose. Make half heart shapes on the side of the portrait head for the ears. Make a black squiggly line over both eyes. Color the round part of the eye brown and black. The top of my head to 2 and 1/2 inches down should be black for the hair. Everything else inside the face is peach. Make a peach colored neck that is 1 and 1/2 inches vertically and 3 inches wide. Make a torso that is connected to the neck and green stripes going horizontally on the torso for the shirt.

The background is red with five green lines going vertically.

Analysis

by Brian

I think Perris did a very good job on the face and the red in the background was a big success. I think Perris read the directions very carefully and I wrote them well.

I should have said that the eyebrows were more thick and the lips were fatter. I also should have mentioned that the torso went from left to right all the way across the page. The neck should have been shorter and I think Perris just measured one inch more by accident. The green lines on the shirt and background should have been darker but I should have said the lines were thicker. Other than those mistakes that both Perris and I did, the picture was a big success. I think Perris did very well.
