Description of My Portrait

by Becky

Portrait of Me

recreated by William Y.

My portrait is in the style of Vincent van Gogh. The paper is 12" by 18". You will need pastels. The colors are red, light green, dark green, brown, black, orange, and yellow.

My head is five inches from the top. My head is 7 1/2" long and 4 1/2" wide. I am facing you. I am wearing a plaid shirt. It is red with green and yellow stripes in it.

My eyes are ovals. My irises are orange, red, brown, and black. For orange and red color lightly. My hair is black and brown. It goes down to my shoulders. My eyebrows are black. My nose is sort of like a triangle. My lips are light red and they are closed. My background is dark green and light green vertical stripes. That's me!

Analysis

by Becky

William did well on the shirt and the colors. I thought he did the mouth and the eyes very well! I think I described the shirt and the eyes well. I also thought he did the face well because he used the right colors. I thought the portraits looked a lot alike.

I think I should have said to color lightly because mine was light and his was dark. I should have said to make the eyes bigger. I also think I should have said that I was smiling. He did a great job!
