Description
by Brian W. and Katie

Can you draw Lieutenant Pig? These are the instructions. He has a round head with long catlike ears. His skin is yellow. He has dark-green round shaped eyes with black pupils. His snout is round, and traced in red on the inside. His nostrils are also red. Lieutenant Pig's mouth is in a semi-circle smile, traced in black. Sitting on top of his head in between his ears is his baseball cap. The body of the cap is divided into four sections. The 1st two sections to the left are red. The other half is purple. The visor is black and pointing towards his left eye. Make sure the head and all facial features are outlined in black.

Lieutenant Pig's body is yellow. He has two arms and two legs. Lieutenant Pig has split hooves instead of hands and feet, and they are black. His curly pig tail is between his legs but it is not outlined. He wears a green long sleeved jacket with four brown buttons and red and blue badges to the right. From the tip of his toes to the tip of his ears Lieutenant Pig is 8 inches high on his right and 7 3/4 inches high on the left. Place Lieutenant Pig on the paper in portrait orientation. Finish the picture by outlining everything except the pig tail. Enjoy looking at Lieutenant Pig.

Analysis
by Katie and Brian W.

Our partners at Walter Hays did pretty well on Lieutenant Pig. They got the yellow skin right. They also got the four brown buttons right, the shape of the head, cap divided into sections, and the eye color right.

There were some things that made their Lieutenant Pig not look like ours. The inside of the mouth of ours was colored red. We didn't mention that there were 13 badges. We didn't tell them to use marker. We didn't mention how to divide the hat. We forgot to say that he was saluting. We didn't mention how many tails to draw. These were the reasons it didn't look like ours.
