Mystery Painting Description
by Anais and Taylor

We are going to tell you how to make our painting. The first part we are going to tell about is the top half of the painting. It’s blue and has tons of white vertical ovals.

The bottom part of our painting has a steep slant for a little bit and then a soft slant until a little bit before the page ends. On the same line there is a horizontal part, and then a steep slant. Paint that part brownish black. Right where the first steep slant ends there is a horizontal line until a little bit before the end of the page. Then there is a small steep slant going up. Paint that part tan. Then in the middle, off the soft slant line, paint a turquoise colored vertical rectangle.

Good luck painting this painting!

Analysis
by Taylor and Anais

We are going to tell you what you did well and what we could have described better. The first thing we are going to tell you is what you did well. You colored the sky really well. You made the ovals exactly right. The whole sky looked terrific! The turquoise rectangle was great, too.

These are some things we could have described better. We could have said the top half of the bottom half was tan and the bottom half of the bottom half was red, brown and black all mixed together. We should have said that the sky was light blue.

Georgia O’Keeffe painted this painting. It was painted on canvas with oil. The real painting is 25 3/4 by 20 3/4 inches. It is in the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico. You did very well drawing our painting.
