Mystery Painting Description
by Valentin and Henry

We are going to tell you about the painting we chose. Please cut the paper into a square and turn it to make a diamond. Now please paint your shape in gray. Next draw one medium size yellow stripe about 1/4 away from each corner. We wish you good luck with painting this picture.

Analysis
by Henry and Valentin

The things that went well were that they painted it gray and made it a diamond. They also got the yellow stripes the right size.

We could have done better by writing light gray, not just gray. Still Grace and Gillian did well on painting the Lozenge with Four Yellow Lines. This painting was made with oils on canvas in 1933 by Piet Mondrian. It is 44 1/2 inches from point to point. It is now in The Hague Museum.
