Description We are going to describe a crazy Geometric named the Disintegrator. To make the head, put a hexagon down, then take two trapezoids and add them to the upper sides of the head so the small side is flat on top. To make the arms, take two rhombuses and put them so one is attached to the lower right side of the head so it is flat on the bottom. The other one is attached to the first one pointing diagonally down and attached to the free upper side of the second rhombus. Repeat on the left side for the left arm. For the lower body, start with a trapezoid with the flat side down. Directly under that, put a vertical rhombus in the exact middle. Then take a rhombus and fill in the space between the trapezoid and the vertical rhombus so it is flat on the bottom. Do the same thing for the other side. The last two pieces are trapezoids. Put the short parallel side flat against the middle rhombus. Add the last trapezoid by putting it the same way but on the other side so it makes a small open triangle on the bottom. Color the antennas so they look like two red pattern block sized trapezoids. For the arms, make imaginary lines so you get a solid white hexagon in the middle, then color in the shape of a blue pattern block rhombus that touches the imaginary line covering the arm. The closed in white part on the arm is orange. When you are done with that, you get a white hexagon connected to a white lower body. For the lower body make a black pattern block sized trapezoid. Above that, there should be a white hexagon. Underneath the black trapezoid, Color it yellow so you leave two pattern block sized triangles. Color the triangles blue. All that’s left is a white hexagon. In the hexagon, make two small red acute triangles for eyes, a red slit mouth, and three black fangs underneath the mouth. We hope you had a crazy time recreating The Disintegrator! |
Analysis
by Anthony and Skyler One thing that our Escondido partners did well is the antenna on our geometric. They also got most of the arms correct. Another thing they got correct was the fang. They did a good job on reading directions. There are a number of things that we could have made clearer. First, for the trapezoid head, we should have told you to leave the face hexagon white. We also forgot to mention the second arm rhombus and went on to the third rhombus. But even though we made some mistakes in the directions, you still got the first two parts of the arm right. The only part you missed was the skinny rhombus claw on the other side of the second rhombus. In our directions, we also said to leave a triangle hole between the feet. We meant to leave a triangular shaped hole between the feet. We think you misunderstood us because you put a triangle in the hole. Thanks for trying hard to recreate the Disintegrator. |
