Coyote

Description
by Yuki and Evelyn

Here are the directions to make Mrs. Coyote. First, you need gray, orange, and yellow markers. You also need one hexagon, two rhombuses, two trapezoids, and six white, skinny rhombuses.

Start with the head. Place the hexagon first. Add two rhombuses on the top right and left. Make sure they are fitting. Then add two trapezoids for the body. The first one fits to the bottom right side of the hexagon head. The second one fits so the body is straight. Then you need two rhombuses for the tail.

You need four white rhombuses for the legs. The first leg connects to the place where the head is connected to the body. The second and third legs are connected to the middle of the two rhombuses of the body. The last one comes right under the place where the tail is connected to the body. Now trace all blocks.

Finally let’s start coloring! The ears are yellow. The tail and body are gray. The feet are orange. The face will have gray background with two oval, yellow eyes and a triangle snout, which are colored orange. Mrs. Coyote is now complete!

Analysis

Maya and Evita did a good job making Mrs. Coyote. The eye, the ears, and the nose colors were right. Fortunately they included the ears.

We should have said, “Then add two trapezoids on to  the bottom right side of the hexagon head.” The body should be two trapezoids next to each other. We also should have said, “The tail should point up” for the tail part and “The first leg is positioned so it points down from where the head is connected to the body. The second legs point down from the middle of the body and should be touching each other. The fourth leg points down from the part where the body and tail meets side.” Thank you for trying to make Mrs. Coyote
