Mystery Painting recreated by Joy and Brook

by Katie and Erica and Molly This is the description of our painting. Our painting has a lot of colors. There is a white thin line on the top. There is a space colored in with the blueberry blue between the soft yellow square that is underneath it. To make the soft yellow mix white and yellow together. There is a white square that is directly under the soft yellow square. They are touching. Paint a purplish white and red mixed colored line between the two squares. Our painting includes purple and dark blue mixed with white surrounding everything but the line between the two squares. There is also a little patch of rusty red on the top right corner of the white square that is to be painted vertically, below the yellow one. Our painting is vertical. We hope you enjoy painting our picture. |
by Molly and Katie and Erica Hello, this is our analysis of our wonderful painting. The colors are great, but in between the squares we said rusty red, not purple. The sizes are good except for the outside. We didn't tell you how big it was. And we did not explain about the red line in the middle and where to put the purple line. Our painting was painted by Mark Rothko. It is now in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The real size is 76 3/8 by 57 1/8 inches. It is painted with oil on canvas. The date it was made was 1950. We hope you had a pleasant time with our painting. |
