Mystery Painting Description
by Brian and Danny

You now are going to read our description of the painting we chose. First there is a block on the upper left-hand corner. It's red and has little yellow extremely skinny stripes mostly at the bottom of the red block. The block is 1/4 of the paper on the left side. There is a vertical black line going to the right side of the red block coming all the way down to the bottom of the paper. There is also a thick black line on the red block going across to the right side.

The yellow block is about the same size as the red one. A thick black line is surrounding the yellow block, except for the left side. It is about 1/8 off the bottom of the paper. The line on the bottom of the yellow block goes all the way across the paper to the right side. Under the line we just told you about make a blue block which is about 1/4 the size of the yellow block. On the left side of the blue block there is a thick black line. Also a light grey background. We hope you do a good job on our painting.

Analysis
by Danny and Brian

These are the things that went well and the things we could improve in Composition with Red, Yellow, and Blue.

These are the things that went well. Our partners made most of the right colors and they made thick black lines. Another good thing is that they made lines at the bottom of the red block.

The things we could have done better were we could have said square instead of block for the blue square. Another thing is we could have said more details about the blue block, like it is in the bottom right corner. The last thing is we could have said how to make the gray background.

Composition with Red, Yellow, and Blue was painted by Piet Mondrian. It was made with oil on canvas and it is held in the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.

Thank you for doing our painting and making your best work.
