The Polka-Dotted Beard Man has an egg-shaped head which is purple. The head is on the left-hand side of the page. The ears are blue and the right ear is pierced with a gold earring. The nose is a red raindrop that is under the eyes. The round eyes are directly together and they each have a black pupil. His tongue is like a red potato. He has a mouth very much shaped like a banana. In the mouth, there are two big, yellow buck teeth. He has a black pointy beard. There is a mustache directly under his nose. On either side of his head, there is a strand of black hair. He has a halo above his head. The Polka-Dotted Beard Man has a gazelle-like neck and a horizontal body about the size of a banana. He has tiny wings on his back the same color as his body. His front legs are the paws of a lion, including claws, and his rear legs are the legs of a horse with golden hooves. The Beard Man has a brown horse tail on his bottom. He has orange polka-dots. He also has blue and green stripes going diagonally to the left. If you have followed these directions, you should have a Polka-Dotted Beard Man in front of you. |
Analysisby Karina and AndreaWe forgot to mention the legs were the same color as the body. Though the earring was the correct color, we didn't make it clear that it was on the left side from the Polka-dotted Beard Man's point of view. Another thing we did wrong was to totally forget to describe the eyebrows. We had falsely assumed that they would make them. They must have misunderstood that the body was the size of a banana, not the shape. We forgot to tell them that there was only one pair of eyes. We also forgot to tell them that the paper goes horizontally. The head goes on the left side, not in the middle. The neck was supposed to be the same color as the body. They must have forgotten that the stripes went diagonally. If we had explained the Beard Man more clearly, and if they did not make the mistakes that they did, it would have been perfect. It was still good! |
