Elecsodon

Alien Picture

recreated by our Walter Hays partners

Elecsodon2
The antennae on our alien look like orange lighting bolts. The eyes are circles with a black dot in the middle and red veins coming out from the dot. The nose is a yellow triangle pointing up. Our alien's head is a red triangle pointing down. The triangle has rounded tips. It has green, tweezer-like curved fangs coming out from the bottom of the head. The head, antennae, eyes, nose, and fangs are outlined in black.

A thumbnail's width blue tentacle comes out of each side of the top of the body. There are four purple triangles on the upper left tentacle and five on the upper right tentacle. The tentacles are half the page length long and shaped like an "S" on the left and a question mark without the dot on the right. Out of the point on the last triangle is a thin yellow line that continues down the entire length of the tentacle. At the tip of the tentacles there is a black square with two green points coming out on either side. There are two triangles next to each other coming out of the tip of the black square where fingers would be. The tentacles are also outlined in black pen.

Our alien's body is a blue oval coming from the head and at the bottom it looks like a cauliflower-cloud. There are nine yellow waves inside the oval. The wings are like pointed green leaves that fasten to the body at the top just below the tentacles down to half the body length. On the point of the wings there is a little red thorn going upward. Outline with black pen around the body, foot, and wings.

The tail comes out from the body right below the right wing. It is long and curves under the foot. Our alien's tail is about a little finger's width and is all green. It has a red puff at the end. That is our alien.

Analysis

by Henry and Rebecca

Our partners did lots of things correctly. The shapes and colors on the head are perfect. The colors on the body and on the tentacles are the same as on our first alien. The color, direction, and shape of the claws that are on the wings are also exact. The colors and direction on the tail and on the body are similar. The width on the tentacles is perfect. The shape of the wings is the same. Our buddies also used marker and had the paper placed vertically. There aren't many things that could be changed.

Some things that we could have made clearer. The cloud is orange instead of blue. The position of triangles is different. The claws on the tentacles aren't quite the same either. We weren't clear on the number of eyes. The position of the tentacles and length weren't quite what we expected. We also didn't mention any marks or designs on the wings. The designs on the body are different than our designs. Most of the details were perfect.

At the first look you take, nothing looks similar. But if you read the description again, almost everything is just like our original alien. Ms. Surber, our teacher, recognized it almost immediately. We realized that some things weren't clear on our description. We have no idea why they put an orange cloud and a purple foot in their picture. We were surprised that they put four eyes on their alien instead of two.
