| Divide the paper into three even horizontal parts. The paper is vertical. The top two rectangles are a darker red than a Coca-Cola can, with even darker shadings across each one. The bottom is a creamy clean sand color with a few darker shadings. Mix a little yellow, lots of white, and a drop of brown to get the creamy white color. The border is a mud brown and goes between the two rectangles, and paints out to the edge, too. The edges are blurry. We think this painting will be easy to paint. |
by Howard and Tiffany "Untitled" was painted by Mark Rothko in 1960. The media is oil on canvas. The size of this painting is 69 x 50 1/8 inches. The painting is in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Our partners did very well on the colors, like when we said the red was dark colored. They also did well on the shapes and arrangements. An example is when we said the rectangles were on top each other. We think we should have said that the bottom square was only white with a little bit of yellow mixed to get a peachy color. |
