This painting is vertical. The picture has lots of rectangles with triangles and colorful lines. At the very bottom, it has a light brownish white rectangle that takes up one-fifth of the whole picture. On top of the brownish white rectangle is a large rectangle in a big watery yellow rectangle that takes up two-fifths of the picture. On top of the watery yellow rectangle, there is a one-fifth cloudy yellow rectangle. In the top one-third of that rectangle, there are faint traces of yellowish white, reddish white, greenish white and cloudy yellow. Next, on the top of this rectangle there is a thin line. The color of the line is black on the right side and then towards the middle of the line it becomes brown. On top of that there is a thick white line. Next there is a lime green, thin line above the white, thick line. Then there is a light tan, fat line. Above that line, on the right side, a small tan triangle's point points up. Another tan triangle's point points down on top of the triangle pointing up. It is like a tan hourglass. Where the two points meet, there is a blue triangle on the right and the point meets with the other two points. Then there is a one seventh sunny yellow rectangle that comes to a point where the other line. Then there is a black, thin line. Above all of that, there is a thick, white line. Then we have a reddish tan rectangle one half the height of the yellow rectangle. Above the rectangle is a purple thick line. There is a white line that borders the left part of the picture. Then when it gets further up it becomes wider. Then there is a little speck of green and in the upper part there is a yellow rectangle touching the blue square. That blue square touches a light blue rectangle. On the right side of the picture there is a brownish line. |
by Stephanie and Vahagn Our Abstract is called "Ocean Park #122" and was painted in 1980. It was created by Richard Diebenkorn. The art is made with oil and charcoal on canvas. "Ocean Park #122" is 100 by 81 inches. It is located in San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Our partners did well on the colors that we said to draw on the painting. They are also okay on making the shapes. The arrangement on the page is not very good, though. They mainly followed directions very nicely. To make it easier for them, we could have told them the size of the painting and could have given better information. The thing that confused them was the size of the shapes. We could have made it more clear by adding more information about the painting. They did well on the colors. |
