by Toshiya and Amanda and Lydia Our alien looks like a creature from Star Wars, with lots of different colors and shapes. The head is shaped like a hexagon and is green. There are four eyes. One is blue and triangular with a white iris and a black pupil. Below it are three horizontal oval eyes that are orange with white irises and black pupils. The left is circular, the one in the middle is oval, and the one on the right is triangular. The ears are about the same level as the eyes. They are blue and the center is brown. They are shaped like a diamond, and point up. The nose is triangular and the color is red. Below it is a rectangular mouth with sixteen white square teeth in two rows of eight. The alien has a long purple neck and a rounded purple body. There are two sets of arms. The top ones are orange with seven fingers on each hand. The bottom ones are yellow with three fingers on each hand. The alien has two purple legs with rounded feet and no toes. That’s all about our alien, from head to no toes! |
by Lydia and Toshiya In general the recreation matched our original drawing. They did a good job including the right number of fingers, arms, legs, eyes, teeth, etc. Also, all of the colors are correct. The shapes are accurate. The shapes are good as well. We should have explained that the oval eyes were drawn horizontally. We could have described which fingers were pointy and which fingers were rounded, and which way the hexagon head was pointy. Also, we could have said that the nose and teeth were separated. Overall our partners at Escondido followed the descriptions we gave well. We were surprised by how close the recreation was, and we recognized our alien right away. |
